Why were the things in the trunk important to Grandma?

The things in the trunk were important to Grandma because it reminds Grandma of happy times in her life.

1. One detail is the paper was thin and kind of yellow.  The writing was like the spidery veins of Grandma's hand.  

2. Another detail is Grandma took out a trophy of a girl riding a horse that she won.  She was smiling when she took things out but stopped when she put things away.  This shows that she was sad about no longer doing those things.  

Detail 2 is stronger because it matches the claim/answer.  It also explains why the things in the trunk were important.
