1. Run a quick search for the student you are updating
2. Proceed to the student's vital health record and then click, "Healthcare Providers"

1. Complete the student's list of medications on their vital health record.

How do I log vision and hearing screenings?
Go to a student's medical record (SMR), and create a treatment note, specifically "Vision Screening" or "Hearing Screening".
You'll be prompted with questions to answer about the screening.
Let's say I have a new type of health document that I want to store for all students. How should I go about creating a place to store this form on Magnus?
You would have to create a new requirement!
1. Go to Admin Dashboard
2. Click Requirement Library
3. Click New Requirement, and then click, "Print and Sign" (which is just the type of format most health forms are in). Proceed to enter all the information re: your document.

What is the point of answering the conditional health questions portion on a student's health tracker?
Answering these questions provides the health team with helpful information that allows our asthmatic students to be sorted into groups.

Logging a follow-up vision and/or hearing note is the same process as logging a screener. You would just have to click "Add Addendum" so you can reflect the updated date for the new note.
How can students with a common factor (i.e. asthmatic students, students whose medical home is Kaiser, etc.) be grouped?
Create a group!
You can do this by:
1. Going to Admin Dashboard
2. Navigate to Student Health Tracker of Admin Dashboard, and click Groups, and proceed to add a new group.
How would you run a report detailing students' medical homes and providers?
1. Go to Admin Dashboard
2. Go to Vital Health Record Reports
3. Run and download the Healthcare Providers report
How do you log ACT responses in Magnus?
Go to a student's medical record (SMR), and create a treatment note, specifically "ACT Test and Score".
How many times are follow-ups reported for vision and hearing screening?
3 times a year (1 time per each quarter)
How do I log students' administered medications while they're at school?
Create a treatment note!
You can share treatment notes with others via the communications tab on Magnus as well so people can see any relevant updates for the day.
Can you search students by medical home?
Yes! You would go to the Student Health Tracker and proceed to "Search by Tracker:"
If you created a group for this medical home, it should pop up on the list of groups you can search by.
How do I log a follow-up ACT?
Logging a follow-up ACT is the same process as logging a baseline. You would just have to click "Add Addendum" so you can reflect the updated time at which you administered the ACT.
Who is screened for vision and hearing on campus?
All students are screened for vision at the beginning of the school year.
All students a part of the youngest school-aged cohort are screened for hearing at the beginning of the school year.
If I'm confused on logging something on Magnus, where can I go to help me out?

2. The "Need Help?" button which provides great answers to any questions you might have!
Walk us through creating a group for students who are patients at Fair Oaks.

2. Click groups
3. Click new group
4. Select all students who are patients at Fair Oaks and then click, "Save"
How would I run a report for ACTs?
1. Go to Admin Dashboard
2. Go to the Additional Features section
3. Click admin reports
4. Select the Treatment Note Detail Report and ACT Test and Score for Template Type, then click on Get Report.
Why doesn't vision/hearing screening have a Q4 report on Magnus?
Follow-up should be completed by this point in the school year. We typically save the end of the school year for fun efforts to engage families and encourage them to follow up with their child's provider.
