This fun, jazz-loving teacher just joined the AFMS family this school year as a Spanish teacher. He splits his time between Washington ES and AFMS and was born (and raised) in Peru.

This wonderful Admin (and 8th grade asst. principal) supervises the Arts/Lang. dept.
Who is Mr. T.?
Mr. M is one of 12 (!!!) children. Out of 12, he was this number in birth order (hint: the answer is a multiple of 5 and 2).

This teacher is our esteemed AFMS Visual Art teacher and has the distinction of being "Teacher of the Year" for both 2019-20 AND 2020-21!

Mr. M's wife is a music teacher who got him hooked on music competition shows (but he claims he can't sing). Name a popular music competition show that is one of Mr. M's favorites.

This teacher is our amazing Chorus teacher who has an angelic voice and who has more energy than a room full of 6th graders at AFMS.

Whereas the AFHS high school mascot is a "Patriot," the middle school mascot is this type of horse who is known for bravely carrying the Patriot into battle.
What is a Charger?
Even though Mr. M teaches Spanish, his favorite food comes from this geographical area that spans southern Europe and Northern Africa.
What is Mediterranean food?
This teacher is our phenomenal Drama teacher who is very passionate about theater and loves to travel (especially to England to visit family).
Who is Mrs. W?
Our school's name comes from two communities: Apex and this unincorporated town whose name describes the peaceful union of recently emancipated slaves after the Civil War, Native Americans, and white merchants/farmers.
