Lexington Sec. 14-102 ordinance:

A fine of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for the first offense; A fine of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) for the second offense, within one (1) year; A fine of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for the third and each subsequent offense, within one (1) year. Persons who smoke in an area where smoking is prohibited and who refuse to extinguish their smoking material when asked may be required to leave the premises, and shall be subject to prosecution for trespass if they do not leave when asked.

From the website: "Services include individual trip plans that detail how to get to the appropriate bus stops at what times and which buses to catch. These plans can be mailed or emailed with additional resources. Customers may also travel on fixed-route service with a Lextran representative if needed. All services are provided at no charge"

  • Reporting suspicious activities to a Lextran representative, the Lexington Police Department (859) 258-3600, or by calling 9-1-1 in an emergency. 
  • Keeping your personal items (backpacks, purses, bags, packages, etc.) with you at all times. 
  • Listening to instructions during an emergency.
