No, students at RMS are not allowed to check out or test on books below 3rd grade level. The research books are not AR and cannot be checked out.

Please let me know ASAP so that I can repair it. Please don't try to repair it yourself. I use special tape just for books. Keep any labels, covers, or pages in a ziplock bag and return them with the book.
If I forget my username and password for AR, where can I find it?
There is a book (3 ring binder) on the small table by the computer station. It is divided by grades.
Do not ask the teacher. Look in the book. You should memorize your log in information.
Whose responsibility is it to inspect a book for damage BEFORE checking it out?
The student's responsibility. That means YOU!
If you check it out and it comes back with damage of any kind, (water, mold, rips, missing labels/cover/pages) you will be charged for the book.
What will happen to a book if you bend it backwards too far? (for example: bending it until the back cover touches the front cover)
The spine may break and pages could fall out.

All of those books are very popular and are conveniently located on the first two shelves of the fiction section (near the sharpener). We also have special shelves for books about dogs, cats, and horses.

Return the book to Ms. Pipkin the same or next day. She will remove it from the shelf or take other appropriate action.

The 3 shelves near the front lobby doors that say, "Free Shelf" are always there for you. Anyone may take a book(s) from the free shelf. There is NO EXCUSE for not having a book to read.

Table books are level 4 and level 5 picture books that Ms. Pipkin keeps on the tables for those who do not have anything to read. You can take AR tests on them.
