This shouldn't be done in the library because it is not the gym and you should keep your hands to yourself.

A special space at home just for your books.

This should never be done in the library (hint: it involves the things moving through the air).

Library couches may never be used to do this.

The book is checked out in your name and it is your responsibility. (Hint: this has to do with who gets to use your books.)
