ONE. There is only so much paper and money for each school year.

Nothing except books you want to check in or renew

Blue baskets and use these to help keep our shelves neat.

Walking, moving slowly
If you're not finished with your book, what should you do?
If you're not finished with your book, you can renew it. You may have as much time as needed to finish it.
What voice level should you use when you are in the library for class time?
A quiet or whisper voice please
Where should you keep your books so they are safe?
In a backpack, your desk, or somewhere safe in your house.
Where do you put books if you don't know where they go?
You can put them in the book slot or on Mrs. Byker's cart

NO, never

At lunchtime you can play games, do art, and play piano or kitchen on certain days.
Where do books go if you want to renew them (keep them longer)?
Put them on a table while you look for another book.
Why shouldn't you let other people borrow your books?
The book is checked out in your name and it is your responsibility.
What happens if you lose or damage a book?
You will need to find it or replace it by paying for it
Can you wear hats and hoods in the Library?
No thank you, please put them on the counter or a table
What do the colored stickers mean on the side of the books?
Orange means AR Test
Green means it's in Spanish
Red means it's a Graphic Novel
Where should I sit during class? What about at recess?
Classes sit at tables. Free time means you can sit anywhere
What should be kept away from you books for safety?
Pets, small children, and water!
What kind of books do you need to pick?
Follow your teacher's directions when you are here with a class.
Read ANYTHING when you are here for free time!
What happens if things don't get cleaned up at lunchtime (art, games, kitchen...)
Mrs. Byker will take them away as a choice for a period of time.
