What is Reflection?
When light waves bounce off of a smooth surface.
What are the 3 properties of light we learned?
- Light is a form of energy
- Light travels in waves
- Light travels in a straight line
What is Refraction?
When light waves bend as they travel from one material to the next.
What is transparent?
Objects that allow all light to pass through them.
What is Absorption?
When light cannot pass through an object or material.
What is Opaque?
Wavelengths with a range of 380nm - 750nm.
What is translucent?
Objects diffuse light but still allow it to pass through them. Some light can pass through.
Put the light wavelengths in order from smallest to largest.
Violet, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red
Convex is what? Concave is what?
Convex is a lens that curves outward. Concave is a lens that curves inward.
