What happens to light that is reflected?
It bounces off a surface.
What happens to light that is refracted?
It bends.
When you look at a banana what color is reflected?
yellow
What color is reflected when you see an orange?
Orange
Why does light refract when it hits water? Think about the pictures we've seen of the spoon in a glass of water.
Light travels faster through gas (air), but slows when it reaches a liquid causing it to bend.
How does a mirror work?
Light bounces off of it and shines back on whatever is in front of the mirror (reflection).
