The very front-most part of the stage that actors can still perform on in front of the main curtain.
Apron
A thick, heavy curtain used to block or maintain fire/smoke.
Fire Curtain
Bars on the fly system that carry all the power for any lights being hung.
Electrics
Any area on stage that is completely out of the audience's view, typically the sidelines or behind the main attraction.
Backstage
The curtain closest to the audience. It can fly in, out, and sideways.
Main Curtain
A see-through curtain that can be used to alter lighting.
Scrim
Area used for storage or where people come off the stage, so the audience won't see them.
Wings
This curtain can reach the floor, but cannot travel across the entire stage. It is used to hide actors and set pieces.
Leg
A thicker curtain located towards the back that is used to project lighting.
Cyclorama (Cyc)
Used to hide lighting and other flys, this curtain is long, not tall, and is located above the stage.
