Slope and intercepts
Explain what a y-intercept is.

y = -7x + 6 written in standard form.
What is 7x + y = 6?
Give slope and intercept for: y = -3/4x + 14.

The x- and y-intercepts of 3x + 9y = 27
What is x = 9 and y = 3?
y = 2x + 5 written in standard form.
Either of these is acceptable:
-2x + y = 5 or 2x - y = -5
A line starts at the point (0, 2) with the next point 3 units right and 5 units up from there. This is the equation of the line.
What is y=5/3x + 2?
The equation of a line (in slope-intercept form) that has m=6 and b=(0,4)
What is y = 6x + 4?
Chips cost $2 per bag and cookies cost $3 per pack. Write an equation to show how many bags of chips (x) and packs of cookies (y) I can buy with $20.
