When the audience/reader is aware of something the characters in the story are not aware of.

Satire
This type of 3rd person POV employs a narrator who shares the interior thoughts/feelings of 1 character only.
3rd person limited
This type of 3rd person POV gives a bird's eye view of the action. The reader has access to 2 or more characters' internal thoughts/feelings.
3rd person omniscient
This type of 3rd person POV employs a narrator who does not share any characters thoughts/ideas/opinions.
