LNR Rates: Are they Static Flat Rates or Dynamic Rates (% off)
BOTH! LNR's are negotiated and can be given at flat rate or a percentage rate. This is typically based on forecasted production. Higher producing companies typically get flat rates while lower producing companies get a % off.
TRUE or FALSE: A company’s negotiated rate will sometimes change as it is negotiated on a yearly basis.
TRUE! Rates are negotiated on a yearly basis in which we can change their rates and proposed a new rate OR we can decide to not move forward with a discount based on room night production.

TRUE! Each account has their own billing instructions, and it is important to get familiar with them! Some accounts are Individual Pay/Arrival and primarily use a booking link, some have a CC auth that cover some or all charges, some accounts need to send in CC auth forms for individuals that they send us.

Group Scenario: A future guest from a group calls in requesting reservation changes 2 months prior to arrival. You pull up the calendar invite and see that it is a third-party housing site. You then direct them to use the housing site to make any necessary changes via the site they originally booked on, or you give them the link or phone number to call as directed in the invite or contract. Was this request handled properly?
Yes! All changes or new reservations must be processed through the housing site. Housing sites typically will let us make changes 1 week or 48 hours prior to arrival.

If a Guest calls to make a reservation under their LNR rate- what do you use to enter in Opera that will pull up their rate AND company name in the reservation?

TRUE or FALSE: Any company can get an get LNR, they just need ask the Director of Sales! We are more than happy to sign any company up and house anyone in need of accommodations at a discounted rate! Increased room night production is crucial, and we should get it anyway we can!
FALSE! Not all companies qualify for a discounted rate. Some companies are already getting discounted gold rates which can't be turned into an LNR, or they do not stay here often enough to qualify.
