Lois worked with her team to bring to create an intervention for the members of B3. They all collaborated under the same shared goal of presenting a client-centered education for the members to learn and enjoy.

Lois believes that combining ideas creates the best results, and is always open to having chats to refine/edit to improve plans. She values the perspective of her teammates, would ask for quieter members' perspectives, and makes sure to equally distribute decision making.

Lois deeply enjoys FLIP events, not only to learn about her fellow healthcare colleagues, but to witness how interprofessional collaboration can advance patient care. She believes everyone brings something unique to the table and that utilizing that to the fullest is where the magic happens. She often takes the lead in introducing herself first to colleagues.

As the class of 2028 student representative, Lois practices active listening to validate her peer's struggles. She always asks "Is there anything I can do for you?" so that her peers feel supported and encouraged during difficult times in the semester.

Lois created a code that allowed one of our teammate’s venture come to life. Despite not being too familiar with coding, she volunteered to try, took the risk, and was able to create one through figma.

A friend approached Lois about her friendship struggles. After listening to and understanding her feelings, Lois asked guiding questions such as "What are the pros and cons of maintaining this relationship?" or "How does confronting them make you feel?", to aid her friend in analyzing the situation.

When Lois finishes her part of the group assignment, she would browse the other slides that her groupmates are working on to check for cohesiveness in their presentation. She also does this once more before submitting the assignment for class.

As part of her future plans, Lois hopes to advocate for respectful treatment of disabled individuals at the macro level. Her passion is fueled from personal experiences, and hopes to use occupational therapy as a bridge that closes the gap between reducing social stigmas and embracing unique identities.
