The early saints traveled south from the Salt Lake Valley to come here. They attempted to grow cotton in these hot fields for commerce. Brigham Young had a winter home here and the Four Fathers of our country appeared to general authorities in it’s Temple and asked for their work to be performed.

I served a mission in England and was struggling. I wrote my father and told him I should come home and that I was wasting his money. He wrote me back and told me to “get to work” I never looked back. I also planted a walnut tree for my children in my yard that later became the foundation for the pulpit That now sits in the Salt Lake Conference Center. I lived through World War 1 & 2. I saw the automobile become popular, watched a man land on the moon, saw the internet rise, and was instrumental in helping the church become a global church through publications. I also had the vision for smaller temples to be built and make temple ordinances for all members across the world to have access too.
