Bald uakaris stand out from other species, or types of monkeys. In fact, many people think these monkeys look very bizarre. Uakaris have bright, red faces. In fact, the color is so vivid that they look as if they were suffering from a bad sunburn! Even though they have a lot of hair on their bodies, they have little or no fur on their faces. This makes them look even more peculiar. When uakaris have paler faces, that could mean they are diseased. A bright, red face is a sign of good health.
