Although Mamava pods are well ventilated, capable of at least 35 ACH, we do not allow them to be installed outdoors. The electrical circuit is not weather resistant. While the electrical circuit is GFCI protected, the connections to and the individual components are not. We use particle board underneath our benches and inside our wall panels that would be very susceptible to moisture, encouraging the growth of mold and other bacteria. The ceiling pan is perforated putting user in direct exposure to outside weather. Units have no internal cooling or heating mechanism, making the internal environment exactly the same as the external (meaning moms could be freezing or boiling inside). Finally, our Terms + Conditions explicitly stipulate that the pods cannot be placed in a location not approved by Mamava would be in violation.

Charlotte wants to purchase a Mamava XL and asks for dimensions of the pod to ensure it fits. How would you respond to Charlotte?
Although the fully installed dimensions of the Mamava XL are 9'5" W x 5'4" D x 7'3" H, you need to ensure there is 8’6” of ceiling clearance for the assembly of the pod. The XL does have casters that can deploy so the pod can be wheeled to its final destination if needed. Please note for seismic pods, the casters do not deploy and you would need an additional 2’ of clearance all around the pod.

2. We cannot offer an extended cord length on any units given our listing. Adjusting the power cord length negates ETL regulations and would void your warranty. Mamava also does not recommend plugging the pods into an extension cord. If there is no flexibility on placement, a dedicated outlet should be installed where the pod will be located.

Sophia wants to put her Mamava pod in a busy cafeteria and is hoping our units are soundproof, what do you tell her?
Mamava pods are purposely not sound-proofed to allow for sound penetration of fire and other alarms. The fan within the unit provides some white noise, other options include adding a sound machine or small fan to the interior of the pod. We also reccomend parents to download our mobile app which has a variety of audible white noise options (and sounds for letdown) as well.

Oliver has 15 Ollie's All-You-Can-Eat Oatmeal restaurant chains. He would like to purchase 15 Mamava XL's but is wondering if he can put his own lock on the units for consistency across facilities. What do you tell Ollie?
We can look into compatibility if you send me the details of your current lockset (manufacturer, model, technical data sheet, installation instructions) as well as a sample for our engineers. There's also an additional manufacturing fee to produce pods compatible to your lockset. HOWEVER, our Mamava App technology (which utilizes Bluetooth) would no longer work. Most of our customers leave our lock in place, as the app also functions as means to view occupancy of the pods and get vacancy alerts so employees can be most efficient with their time. Please note any adjustments to the pod's hardware voids the warranty and you'd be responsible for repairs if you decided to do this on your own.
