From the moment a student enrolls into Mercy College to the moment they graduate, they will be assigned a personal mentor who will advise and inspire them to reach their full potential. This person is the point person who helps students navigate the twists and turns of college. He/she will help their students understand financial aid, choose the right major, register for classes, track academic progress, develop leadership skills and land an internship.

This Walk -In Medical Care Center is not affiliated with Mercy College, but is located near by in Herald Square. It's located inside a popular pharmacy chain. If a student needs immediate medical care that is NOT life-threatening, this is the place to go. The skilled medical staff can help with an array of medical services ranging from general check-ups to allergic reactions to vaccinations and more.

A set of federally-funded college opportunity programs that motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds in their pursuit of a college degree. Currently eight programs are in place at Mercy College, including Student Support Services, Upward Bound, and Talent Search, among others, providing services and support necessary for educational access, retention, and success. This office is located at Dobbs Ferry Campus, but is available by appointment in Manhattan. Students who are eligible can work with the PACT Mentor to apply.

In order for a student to change their major or to obtain an official transcript or a letter / form confirming enrollment, they must submit a request to this office. This office is located at the Dobbs Ferry campus, but each PACT Mentor functions as a liaison with this department to ensure that all requests are met.

Career Services connects Mercy College students with leaders of industry, and prepares students for a successful business lunch. During this program, students have a chance to better understand the requisite skills for entry and success in various career fields, and to hear personal anecdotes about how these leaders succeeded, challenges they faced, and career advice they want to share.

This Office offers psychological evaluation and brief treatment lasting one to six sessions. Students in need of more intensive treatment are referred to local hospitals and clinics for long term psychotherapy and/or medication. College students come to this office with mental health issues including increased stress, depression and anxiety as well as concerns about their academic progress, daily living, adjustment to college or relationships with others. Students will have an opportunity to talk about issues that are of concern with an objective person who can help them develop skills and view situations in ways that may enable them to be more effective in managing life's challenges down the road.

Mercy College is fully committed to supporting all of its students in their academic careers. Part of that commitment includes the provision of academic accommodations for students who have a documented diagnosis of a disability: learning, attention, health/systemic, sensory, physical, psychiatric, and neurologic. If a student has received services either during secondary education or at a previous institution, this office will work with them to review their eligibility for accommodations at Mercy College. Common accommodations include, additional test time, separate testing location and enhanced study equipment. This office is bound by law to maintain the confidentiality of all students who work with the office and the use of accommodations will not be indicated on transcripts or other institutional documents outside of the office. This office is located in Dobbs Ferry, but the Director is available at the Manhattan Campus by appointment.

Any student receiving financial aid is required to meet certain standards each semester in order to receive financial aid at Mercy College. The Office of Enrollment Services will review academic records annually after each spring term to monitor that students are making progress towards degree completion. Students are required to maintain qualitative and quantitative standards, and may not exceed the maximum time frame for their program.
What is Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)?

A free program that provides students with the opportunity to master the material of select courses during a two-­week intensive course. This is offered to students who previously received a F or D in an eligible class and who were recommended by their instructors. If students pass the "exit exam" their grades will be changed to Cs. Eighty-­five percent of students who complete courses in this program pass and go on to higher level courses.
