What is Coral Bleaching and what causes it?

Coral bleaching is when a coral becomes stressed and evicts the algae living in it. Because the algae is what gives coral its color, the coral turns white without it. Bad changes in the water cause the coral to become stressed, such as serious change/increase in temperature, pollution, or acidity. The coral cannot survive long without the algae.
