By raising you hand quietly until you are picked.

Positive words of encouragement... everyone is different and what may be easy for you, may be hard for someone else
How do we use classroom supplies?
Take care of all supplies and return all supplies back to the appropriate container when you are finished with them.
What do I come to class with?
All Homework COMPLETED, pencil, math folder and math book
What do students do in case of a fire drill
Line up quietly at the door and wait for the teacher to dismiss you
When can I sharpen my pencil?
You cannot, please use a new sharpened pencil in the basket at your desk
How do you ask for help in class?
Raise your hand quietly and wait, you can go onto the next problem if you have to wait for awhile.
How can you respect others?
By listening to them, cheering them on, taking turns sharing, and using appropriate language and gestures.
What kind of food can students have in class?
Water.
Why does a teacher give homework?
To help you practice what was learned in school
If you are absent what do you do when you return to school?
Ask for your late work and COMPLETE IT DURING Study hall on the day / days after you return
When can I use the bathroom?
Raise your hand with crossed fingers
What do you do when you get in class?
Sit in your desk quietly AND start your warmup
What does a positive classroom discussion look like?
Everyone is participating. Not shouting or interrupting others. Having respect for everyone's ideas
Where do I sit in the classroom?
In your assigned seat

You!
How do students respect each other student’s property?
By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.
When is it appropriate to get up from your seat?
Scoots, Team work, Mountain Math, getting an Algebra problem, bathroom break, working standing up

When the teacher dismisses you
If I have a lot of things to do in the afternoon, how can I also get my homework done?
Homework should take you 10-20 minutes, MAXIMUM. You have to learn to plan your afternoon. A teacher or parent can sit down and talk it through with you to help you figure it out.

Can I do homework in the morning before school?
You can do homework after or before school. You manage your time as a student. Being a student is YOUR job
