What are operations?
A figure that is an exact enlargement or reduction of another figure
What is a scaled copy?
This term describes a relationship where the ratio between two quantities remains the same.
What is proportional?
Values less than zero, located to the left of the origin on a number line.
What are negative numbers?
Parts of two different figures that are in the same relative position, such as angles or sides.
What is corresponding?
The point (0,0)where the x axis and y axis intersect
What is the origin?
Parts of an algebraic expression that have the exact same variables raised to the same powers, such as 3x and 7x
What are like terms?
The number you multiply every side length of a figure by to create a scaled copy.
What is scale factor?
A value that does not change; in the equation y= 5x+2 , the number 2 is an example of this.
What is a constant?
Any number that can be written as a fraction
What is a rational number?
If a scaled copy is smaller than the original, the scale factor must be between these two numbers
What are 0 and 1
The unit rate of a proportional relationship, often represented by the letter K in the equation y=kx
