The increasing and decreasing relates to the question above because a function will increase until it reaches its maximum, and then decrease until it reaches the minimum. The increasing/decreasing is the space between the min and max.
What is reflection of a function?
Reflection of a function flips the function over to the opposite side of the x or y axis, almost like a pancake. In this type of transformation, the axis works as a mirror.
