How do you find the mean of a set of numbers?
Add all the numbers together then divide the sum of the number's pf all the numbers by the number of numbers that were added together
What is a fair survey?
A survey that ask's a range of different people the same question
How do you find the median of a set of number?
Putting the data from smallest to largest and then finding the middle number. If there are 2 numbers in the middle add them together and divide by 2
What is continuous data?
Data that can take any value
What is categorical data?
A type of data which is sorted into a set of categories relating to the topic of the survey
What is the mode?
The number that appears most in a set of numbes
What makes a bias survey?
- Selecting people that will give you the answer you want
- Asking everyone a different question
- Changing the answers that were given
How do you find the range of a set of numbers?
The difference between the largest and the smallest number
What is discrete data?
A numerical type of data that includes a whole that are fixed values
What is ordinal data?
Very similar to categorical, but you must pick a category during the survey rather than sorting it inot categories after the survey
