Types of Materials
This word describes what everything on Earth is made up of.
What is matter?
This means to change from a solid to a liquid, usually by something hot.
What is melt?
This means to give off heat or light.
What is burn?
This is a soft, shiny substance that can be melted and shaped, like gold or silver.
What is metal?
This is what some clothing is made of.
What is plastic?
This is a material that has a shape and does not flow.
What is a solid?
This means to change from liquid to a solid, usually by something cold.
What is freeze?
This means to cause something to become warmer.
What is heat?
This is a gas we need to breathe.
What is oxygen?
This is what happens to glass before it is washed and melted.
What is crushed?
This is a material that takes the shape of the container in which it is in and flows.
What is a liquid?
This means to change back to the way it was.
What is reverse?
This is a combination of two or more ingredients.
What is a mixture?
This is a metal that is used to make cans, pots and pans and airplane parts.
What is aluminium?
When recycling paper, the ink is removed with this.

This is a material that has no shape and can float in the air.

This means a change in the size, shape or form of something that can be reversed.
