The Maya had three main types of art that we know of, Glyphs, stelae, and pottery. The Glyphs were pictures that stood for words and was the Maya's written form of language. Stelae were tall stone monuments that they built around their cities. They made pottery for many reasons, plates, cups, decorations, or pieces for ceremonial rituals.

What were the Maya big Ideas?

The Mayas were an empire, but they weren't an empire. There was no one main ruler, and the city-states were constantly in conflict. They were not easily concurred. They had limited resources and overpopulation, their main method of planting crops was Slash and Burn.
