400
Nina went on a 50 m run around the puddle, she ran it in 30 seconds. Nina got an award for how fast she ran around the puddle and was the 2nd fastest runner at Newton North High School. She weighs 10 kg.
a. What is Nina’s displacement from the run?
b. What is Nina’s speed of the run?
c. If she was running at 5 m/s how far has she run after 20 seconds
Tori
What is a. 0 meters is Nina’s displacement of the run. I know because she ran one full lap around the pond therefore she started and ended in the same place.
b. Nina’s speed for the run is V= delta x (change in distance) / delta t (change in time), so V=distance/time. The speed of Ninas run is 1.6 m/s.
c. d= v*t, d=5*20, d=100m. I know the distance is 100m because to find distance you do distance equals velocity (speed) multiplied by the time it took to run around the puddle.
