2 Scoring 1.5 or more standard deviations below the mean in 1+ or 2+ developmental areas?
The number of behavior indicators needed to meet the Social Interaction subitem of ASD criteria
What is 2 or more?
The student's pattern of behavior must adversely impact their educational performance and result in at least one of these.
What is the inability to demonstrate satisfactory social competence,
or
unsatisfactory educational progress not explained by rule outs?
For Mild-Moderate, the ability score must be this.
What is 2 standard deviations below the mean (SS=70) +/- one standard error of measurement (which is usually around 3 points)?
The 8 areas in which a student may qualify for SLD.
What is:
1. Oral Expression
2. Listening Comprehension
3. Basic Reading Skills
4. Reading Comprehension
5. Reading Fluency
6. Mathematical Calculation
7. Mathematical Problem Solving
8. Written Expression?
For ADHD, the medical documentation must show that the student meets this criteria.
What is DSM (Diagnostic Statician's Manual)?
The 5 areas of development that would qualify a child under Development Delay.
What is:
1. Cognitive
2. Communication
3. Physical Development (including vision & hearing)
4. Social/Emotional
5. Adaptive?
The number of behavior indicators needed to meet the Communication subitem of ASD criteria.
What is 1 or more?
The data collected MUST show significant impairments in at least ONE of these areas.
What is:
Intrapersonal

Social Skills?
For Severe-Profound, the ability score must be this.
What is 3 standard deviations below the mean (SS=55) +/- one standard error of measurement (which is usually around 3 points)?

What is:
Acquistion of information
Organization
Planning and sequencing
Working memory - verbal, visual, or spatial
Visual and Auditory processing
Speed of Processing
Verbal and Nonverbal Expression

Other: ?
In comparison to peers, the health condition adversely affects the student's ability to complete educational tasks within routine timelines as documented in at least 3 of these 8 areas.
What is:
1. Excessive Absenteeism linked to the health condition
2. Specialized health care procedures that are necessary during the school day
3. Medications that adversely affect learning and functioning in terms of comprehension, memory, attention or fatigue
4. Limited physical strength resulting in decreased capacity to perform school activities
5. Limited endurance resulting in decreased stamina and decreased ability to maintain performance
6. Heightened or diminished alertness resulting in impaired abilities
7. Impaired ability to manage and organize materials and complete classroom assignments within routine timelines
8. Impaired ability to follow directions or initiate and complete a task?
The child's need for special education is supported by all of these.
What is at least 1 systematic observation, developmental history, and at least one other evaluation procedure in each area of identified delay?
The number of behavioral indicators needed to meet the 3rd subitem of ASD criteria.
What is 1 or more?
The behaviors must consistently occur across at least three of these settings AND occur for at least this length of time.
What is - two educational settings (at least one must be the classroom) and either - home, childcare, or community, and for at least 6 months?
The student's overall adaptive behavior must be at/below this percentile across school and home/community settings.
What is 15th percentile?
The number data points needed over at least 7 school weeks.
What is 12?
The 3 of the 8 areas typically that are most commonly used when considering a student with ADHD for the OHD criteria.
What is the last 3:
Heightened or diminished alertness resulting in impaired abilities
Impaired ability to manage and organize materials and complete classroom assignments within routine timelines
Impaired ability to follow directions or initiate and complete a task?
Time in which the additional procedure in each area of identified delay must be completed.
What is on a different day than the medical or norm-referenced evaluation?
Sources of data needed to verify the presence of ASD.
What is PLAFFP in each core feature identified, educational needs in each core feature identified, 2 observations on different days, and summary of developmental history and behavior patterns?
