creative head of the film involved at every stage of the production process. Has the final say on the majority of creative decisions.

This role works out of the production office to ensure that production runs smoothly from all angles.

1st Assistant Camera
Oversees the camera team, grip and electrical departments. Responsible for everything having to do with the camera and lighting techniques
Director of Photography (DP)
involved in obtaining permits, managing budgets, coordinating logistics and choosing specific areas for filming that align with the vision of the film
Location Manager
Finances the production of a film. May work independently or on behalf of a studio.
Executive Producer
Creates the shooting schedule, preps call sheets, runs the set, and keeps things on schedule.
Assistant Director
Watches for continuity between shots and keeps track of shooting coverage making notes that are later used by the editor.
Script Supervisor
head of the art department. Responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of sets and ensuring sets and locations are properly dressed for shooting.
Production Designer
Works under the supervision of another producer and is tasked with different set responsibilities depending on the needs of the shoot.
Producer
A liaison between the producers, directors, and actors. Tasked with filling the character roles based on what the director is looking for
Casting Director
Works under the supervision of another producer and is tasked with different set responsibilities depending on the needs of the shoot.
Associate Producer
Name given to the Key Grip’s right hand person. Work in the Grip and Electrical departments.
Best Boy
works alongside the production designer to oversee the construction and decoration of a film’s sets and locations.
Art Director
Head of lighting and power. Works directly under the DP to execute their vision.
Gaffer
Serves as a go between for above the line and below the line crew. Oversees all operations and logistics from pre-production through delivery.
Line Producer
Involved in the process from beginning to end, and essential in prioritizing safety of specific actions on set.
Stunt Coordinator
A post-production specialist present on set who oversees filming to ensure what is happening on set lines up with Post-Production plans
VFX Supervisor
Name given to the Key Grip’s right hand person. Work in the Grip and Electrical departments.
Moves and sets-up equipment, constructs rigs, and performs any handiwork necessary to assist other departments in doing their jobs
