Internal rotation of the limb towards the midline.
Ex. Swinging your arm towards your body

Front of the body

Further from the trunk
What is "extension"?
Extending your limb in a downward motion
Ex. Lowering a bicep curl
What is "adduction"?
The movement of a joint\body part inward toward the body
Ex. When your arms are horizentally raised, lowering them towards your body
What is "lateral rotation"?
The act of swinging a limb away from the midline.
Ex. Swinging your arm away from your body

Back of the body
What is "ventral"?
Belly side
What is "dorsiflexion"?
Raising the foot upward toward the shin
What is "elevation"?
Portion of the body being moved or lifted upward.
