What is said in my office stays in my office!
Exceptions are if you tell me you want to hurt yourself or someone else- or someone is hurting you, or if your problem needs other school staff to help solve.

Depends on what you need. I talk and listen with students, learn about emotions and positive behaviors, and offer some time to calm yourself.

Yes! Your school counselor is your biggest fan in assisting you to reach your goals.

2 children. Mrs. Shelbie Castle, the Occupational Therapist at your school, and Collin, who is a sophomore in high school. I also have one amazing grandson, Hudson.

No, I meet with students in small groups and also do classroom lessons.

Nope! You are not in trouble if you come to my office, unless your principal is not available.

No, we will talk through your needs- and if you need more support than the one time, we will set that up.

No, I can help you work through your problems but YOU are the only one who can take charge of fixing your problem/situation.
When is my counselor available?
All day! I will always try to be available but sometimes I might be teaching a lesson, in a meeting, or working with other students.
You can only see your counselor if it's a BIG problem.
