Main difference between CBT (cognitive behavioral therap) and DBT (dialectal behavior therapy).

Both start by identifying unhelpful thoughts and behaviors or identifying the thought patterns and emotions that may be leading to distress. DBT tends to use mindfulness philosophies to help patients accept themselves and their environment. Meanwhile, CBT tends to be more logic-focused. Therapists encourage patients to use critical thinking to develop healthier ways of thinking and behaving.

My description would be that CBT is more about using tools and finding solutions where DBT is more about accepting what is and learning to live with it.

EX: CBT is fighting demons that are on your shoulder where DBT is befriending the demon and learning to be at peace with them.
