This unique "wall protection," dating back to the 1820s, appears inside many of our building vestibules to prevent damage from wheelchairs, delivery carts and other destructive forces. This unforeseen benefit was the result of a creative design concept to help Mercy satisfy a settlement with the Preservation Society prior to the opening of The Bunting Center. The "wall protection" is made of this natural material and sourced from this 1820s structure.
