Do mice have vaccines

Pet mice do NOT have standard annual vaccines.

  • There are no widely approved routine vaccines for pet mice
  • Their short lifespan makes vaccination impractical
  • Disease prevention is managed through clean housing and proper care

Mice have sensitive respiratory systems, so grooming isn’t just about fur—it’s also about keeping them free from irritants. Use dust-free bedding (like paper-based bedding instead of dusty wood shavings). Avoid scented products in or near the cage. Keep the cage in a well-ventilated area
