TABS/GROUPS
They appear and disappear based on tasks you perform.
What is tool tabs?
Right click and frequently used commands related to that object appear.
What is shortcut menu?
Set of choices, often graphical, arranged in a grid or in a list. Can be viewed by clicking the "more" button.
What is gallery?
Portion of a document viewed through the word window.
What is document window?
Contains a collection of groups.
What is a tab?
Both vertical and horizontal. Display different portions of a document in the document window.
What is a scroll bar?
Search box that helps you to perform specific tasks.
What is the tell me box?
Details about a file, such as the project author, title and subject.
What is document properties?
Tab currently displayed.
What is the active tab?
Convenient, one-click access to frequently used commands.
What is the quick access toolbar?
Information about the document. Progress of current tasks, and the status of certain commands and keys.
The document on a mock sheet of paper in the document window, the default view.
What is the print layout view?
Contains the tables, header & footer, symbols groups.
What is the insert tab?
Appears automatically based on tasks you perform, contains commands related to changing the appearance of text in a document. Disappears if not used.
What is a mini toolbar?
Control center. Contains tabs, groups and commands.
What is the ribbon?
ALT key on the keyboard to display the letters/numbers for certain commands.
What is key tips?
Contains related commands.
What is a group?
Allows you to point to a gallery choice and see its effect in the document without selecting the choice.
What is live preview?
In contrast to a dialog box, is a window that can remain open and visible while you work in the document.
What is a task pane?
Hides all commands and just displays the document.
What is full screen mode?
The document formatting group is located under this tab.
What is design tab?
When rectangle is selected this toolbar appears?
What is the drawing tools?
When clicked displays a dialog box or a task pane with additional options for the group.
What is a dialog box launcher?
On-screen note that provides the name of the command, available keyboard shortcut, a description of the command and sometimes instructions for how to obtain help about the command.
What is a screen tip?
