Weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation: Weak central government, no way to hold states accountable for taxes, could hold criminal accountable etc.

Shay's Rebellion: MA farmer didn't want to go to prison so he and his militia blocked the doors of the court houses. The significance of this event is that it showed the weaknesses of the articles of confederation.

Northwest Ordinance: Provided guidance on how land west of the Appalachian Mountains could become states. It was was one of few accomplishments of the Articles of Confederation.
