The alcoholic- Lost all control over their drinking habits. The alcoholic is addicted to alcohol and depends on it to function. They find it hard to cope with their problems without a drink. The are dependent and regularly seeks excessive amounts of alcohol at once. They tend to gain weight around their mid section. They often lose their jobs, their families, their health and sometimes their life.
The underage drinker- when drinking is done by an under aged person.
The health drinker- types of drinkers that drink alcohol for health-related reasons or to give them deeper sense of peace. They do not drink alcohol in excess and fall under the category of a social or responsible drinker.
The social or responsible drinker- type of drinker who will drink slowly, and only on special occasions that call for a little more relaxation among friends or colleagues. They use alcohol responsibly because they are in control of their drinking and don't exceed their limits. They do not allow the alcohol to control them.
Problem drinker- often heads for the bar for the buss, and not for the social aspect of drinking. They typically get loud. They'll become impaired and unable to drive, they can become angry, this drinker can have lower productivity rankings, they can lose their memory and experience withdrawal symptoms.
The binge drinker- often go extended periods of time without drinking followed by periods of extreme drinking. They believe they deserve an excessive amount of alcohol because they have had anything to drink in awhile.

What does an underage OUI look like?
Under the age of 21 and caught driving with a BAC of at least .02% but less than .08% will be subject to special penalties even if not convicted of a standard OUI. An underage driver who submits to chemical testing and produces a BAC of at least .02% faces a 180-day suspension (one year if under the age of 18). This suspension can be waived if the driver completes the Youth Alcohol Program.
08% or more will result in the Registrar of Motor Vehicles (RMV) suspending the driver's license. For refusals of breathalyzer, the RMV will suspend the driver's license for 180 days (three years if under 21 years old) for a first offense, three years for a second offense, and five years for a third offense.
