What is Fun Friday, and how can you lose it?
Something students earn individually each Friday. 30 minutes of a free activity.
You can lose it if you get 3 strikes, or an ODR, or are missing work from the WIN list
What should I be doing when Ms. Hall has asked for the class' attention?
Looking at Ms. Hall with my voice at zero and my iPad/Laptop closed
I need help but Ms. Hall is really busy answering questions, she knows I need help but it's taking a while for her to get to me. I can't keep working because I'm stuck. What should I do?
Move to a different problem
Work on unfinished work, free read or write for a couple minutes while I'm waiting
I'm at recess and another student keeps saying "Lollypop" and hasn't stopped for 5 minutes. It's super annoying I should:
Ask them nicely to stop saying lollypop because it is annoying me and move somewhere else if they don't stop.
Ask them to leave me alone if they follow me
Ask a teacher for help if it still doesn't stop
When should I sanitize my hands?
When entering or leaving a room, before and after eating food.
What is the point of the gems on my desk, and how are the cubes downstairs different?
When the whole class is doing what I expect them to do, we earn gems. When the jar fills up, we get a reward/celebration

When should I interrupt Ms. Hall while she is in the middle of teaching or working with another student?
If there is an emergency (desperately need the bathroom, someone is hurt, etc)
I need to go to the bathroom during instruction! What should I do?
Go get the bathroom pass for the bathroom I'm using, put it on my desk and stand or sit next to it until Ms. Hall gives me a thumbs up or nods at me to say I can go. Sanitize when I get back and put the pass back neatly.
I want to tell a teacher about something another student is doing. What is the best way to do this?
Tell them just the important information (What have I done to try to fix the problem? What did the other student do in response?)
Ask them to help me find a solution, instead of telling them to get someone in trouble.
Tell the truth!
Tell Ms. Hall so she can see if the nurse is available.

My desk has nothing on it, there is nothing on the floor under or near my table group, the kidney bean table is clean and the library is clean.
I have a comment to add during writing instruction about my opinion, but it doesn't answer the question Ms. Hall just asked. I should:
Wait to ask Ms. Hall until a better time (1 on 1 meeting, snack, after instruction, etc)
I'm walking down the hallway in line and a classmate steps in front of me. What should I do?
If it doesn't bother me: Nothing, keep walking
If it does bother me: Tell them quietly that I don't like when people get in front of me in line and ask that they not do it again.
What does it mean if I'm a close contact?
Someone I spent more than 15 minutes near tested positive for COVID so I'll have to go home unless I do pooled testing, am vaccinated, or have had COVID recently.
What happens if I pick someone as Secret Student at the beginning of the day, but they don't follow our classroom expectations?
They aren't recognized at the end of the day with a prize and a Caught in the Act, Ms. Hall does not say their name.
How many times should Ms. Hall have to ask me to do something (i.e. close your laptop, go back to your desk, clean off your desk, plug in your iPad etc)
Once, maybe twice every once in a while (everyone makes mistakes) but not often.
