How do you communicate to your teachers about an absence and how do you stay caught up from that absence?

If it's planned, email your teacher beforehand so you know what you're missing and make a plan to get it done (teacher access, afterschool tutoring, etc.). YOU ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT WORK EVEN THOUGH YOU'RE GONE. Unfortunately, class doesn't stop when you're missing.

If it's unplanned, email your teacher the day of to communicate what's going on. Make a plan to get caught up when you're back (teacher access, afterschool tutoring, etc.) or do work at home if possible.
