Mahaprajapati

Buddha's step-mother. First ordained nun. Convinced Ananda to ask the Buddha to ordain women into the Sangha.

Ananda

Buddha's personal attendant and right-hand man. Buddha tells Ananda all of his teachings. Ananda becomes an Arhat. At the first council, Ananda recites the Dharma.
