Reflexive pronouns are used to talk about things that the subject of a sentence does to itself. German also uses them, in the plural, where English might instead use the phrase "each other." Many of you will have needed to deploy a reflexive pronoun in order to talk about the moment you met your bff (for Projekt 1).

I've reproduced that exact phrase below to show how the reflexive works (for the "wir" form). Guess at the FIVE OTHER reflexive pronouns to complete the declination chart below. HINT: most of these pronouns are recycled from use-cases we've already learned!

• Ich habe _______verletzt (I hurt my own self)
• Du hast _______ blamiert (You embarrassed yourself)
• Er hat ______ im Spiegel betrachtet (He observed himself in the mirror)

• Wir haben uns im Kindergarten kennengelernt
• Habt ihr euch _____ verabredet? Eure Outfits matchen! (Did you plan this with each other?)
• Manche Menschen verändern ______ radikal im Laufe der Zeit (Some people change (themselves) radically as time passes)

ich/mich

du/dich

er/sich

wir/uns

ihr/euch

sie pl./sich
