The lowest part of the hair strand. Is club shaped.
What is hair bulb?
Part of hair that is located above the epidermis.
What is hair shaft?
A small cone shaped elevation located at the base of the hair follicle. It contains the blood supply.
What is the Dermal Papilla?
A small voluntary muscle at the base of the hair follicle. Causes goosebumps.
What is Arrector pili muscle?
Fatty or oily substance that lubricates hair and skin.
