Yes! If they are in a massive house, have lots of things or if they look uncomfortable in a setting they are not used to.

If they are friends maybe they are in complimenting colours, or if they are in a relationship maybe they are matching or maybe they are getting married and are in wedding attire.

What is Chekhov's gun?

A narrative principle emphasizing that every element in a story be necessary, while irrelevant elements should be removed. For example, if a gun is featured in a story, there must be a reason for it, such as being fired at some later point.
