What is Cairnholm like? Give me details.
Cairnholm is unique. It is a tiny island that is a little bit hard to get to. It is small enough that they use generators instead of actual electricity. The generators turn off at ten each night. They are a bit behind the times. They only have one place to eat besides your own home and they only have one place to stay (the bar- the priest hole). They have a museum in an old church. It is a sleepy town overall. They have a unique bog that a young boy sacrificed himself in hundreds if not thousands of years ago.

Before Grandpa Portman's Death, Franklin(Jacob's dad) had talked with his sister (Aunt Susie) about putting Abe into the nursing home. What was so wrong with him that they wanted to put him in a nursing home?

Why do Kev and the rest of the islanders call the Priest Home the Priest Hole? (Think about the historical significance)
Kev and the guys call it the Priest Hole because years before during the wars they would hide Priests within the bar in the floor/cabinets.

According to Martin's uncle, were there any survivors in the destruction of Miss Peregrine's home? What happened to the survivor(s)?
There was one. Abe's grandpa walked into town and rode the ferry out of town and went to fight in the war.

What is different about Cairnholm in 1940 and Jacob's time?
The 1940 version is a lot more positive. It is bright, sunny, and everything is well taken care of. However, the current Cairnholm has kind of gone down hill while the rest of the world thrived. It seems like it may have been a good thing that the kids went into the time loop rather than moving on with the rest of the people from that time.

How has Enoch's power made him a bit evil?
He gives life and takes it away. Because of that god complex, he struggles to understand emotions in quite the same way. It has also damaged his moral compass.

He was killed by a Hollow, but everyone tried to convince Jacob that it was just a wild dog.

When Jacob discovered the house his Grandpa Abe had lived in years ago, what shape was it in? How did it get to be like that?
It was destroyed for the most part. It had been destroyed in the War when the Japs bombed the island in an air raid. The bomb had ripped through the house leaving some of it intact, but destroying quite a bit of it.

What did Grandpa mean when he said, "Find the bird. In the loop. On the other side of the old man's grave. September third, 1940."?
He told him to go find Miss Peregrine in what we now know is the time loop, the only thing that can protect him if he can find it. Abe also gave directions to it.

How can weather play a role in guiding the readers to feel a certain way (aka the mood of the readers)?
Ransom Riggs used bad weather to show things were getting more and more interesting as the storms got worse. He also showed the calm that came with Sept. 3, 1940. He really tries to make the readers feel the way the characters are feeling by using the weather.
500
What are the benefits of the time loop? What are the drawbacks to the time loop?
The kids can live for quite a long time as long as they stay in the time loop. However, they have to become divorced from the current time in order to stay alive. The second they leave the loop, they age the number of years that make up the difference between when they went in the loop.
