  • Sword of Honor: A gold sword given for outstanding fraternity service, or for exceptional campus or community leadership

  • Patroness Sword of Honor: Same as sword of honor, but has a sapphire insert, and given to a patroness member

  • Ruby Sword of Honor: Same as sword of honor, but with a ruby center and given to the candidate chosen for province leadership award

  • Rose of Honor: A gold rose with a ruby center given to alumnae or patroness who have given outstanding service to community, fraternity, or local chapter

  • Wreath of Achievement: A Gold Circle of Laurel leaves with the crest, awarded for continued outstanding and faithful service to the local chapter, the community, the fraternity (beyond local level) and music

  • Rose of Dedication: A gold rose with a pearl center surrounded by laurel leaves given for 25 years or more of outstanding continued service to the fraternity, to the community, and the local chapter


    • Rose of Constancy: A gold rose with a pearl center, given for 35 years of outstanding and continuing service to the chapter, community, the fraternity (beyond local level) and music

    • Ring of Excellence: the fraternity's highest award is a ring in the shape of a fraternity badge with two engraved roses on the shaft. It may be given for outstanding service to the national organization, or given to an internationally renowned artist, scholar, or teacher who was initiated as a colligate or non-student member

    • Scholastic Award:  Awarded annually to the graduating senior who has attained the highest scholastic average (gpa) during her college years and whom the head of the music department recommends

    • Colligate Honor Award: Awarded annually to a colligate member recognized for outstanding musicianship, scholarship, and fraternity service whom the head of the music department recommends


    • Diamond Sword of Honor: A diamond sword awarded annually for outstanding service to the fraternity, the local chapter, and the community

    • National Colligate Leadership Award: Awarded annually and selected from the Provience Leadership Award winners (Ruby Sword of Honor)

    • National Alumnae Leadership Award: Awarded annually and selected from the Regional Alumnae Leadership Award

    • National Outstanding Advisor Award: Presented annually from nominations submitted by colligate chapters

    • Dorothy Whinery Special Leadership Award: Presented only on very special occasions to an outstanding SAI

  • Pans Cottage (MacDowell Colony): SAI sponsored housing at artists retreat in New Hampshire

  • Music Therapy: musical projects involving therapeutic service to veterans, hospitals, nursing homes, and schools

    • People to people: provide material assistance and encouragement to schools, music organizations, and musicians in developing countries and in many parts of the world

    • Musicians with Special Needs: this project serves visually impaired musicians within and outside of the fraternity by providing information about available resources  for blind and low-vision musicians
