What are the 4 ways we can respond to the presence of the Holy Spirit and explain each one?
1. You can RESIST the Spirit. Whenever we clearly hear His voice speaking to us and we refuse to listen to Him, we resist Him (Acts 7:51)
2. You can GRIEVE the Spirit. If we have bitterness, rage, anger, brawling, slander, spitefulness, ill will, we grieve the Holy Spirit (ephesians 4:30-32)
3. You can QUENCH the Spirit. We can quench Him from burning in our hearts (1 thessalonians 5:19)
4. You can be FILLED with the Spirit. it's a continuous action (ephesians 5:18)
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

The Word of God is the unchanging standard that attunes our spirits, hearts, and minds to hear Gods voice
2 Timothy 2:11-13

An idol is anything that adversely affects our relationship with God. Anything we place above Him.
