What is Improper Character Evidence
Records that are kept in the public domain might also qualify for a hearsay exception. This can include birth records, marriage certificates, or sometimes, police records and other documents that are kept in an official capacity.
Public Records
Statements made by the other party that can be used against him/her will often qualify under this hearsay exception.
