NARRATOR: Tortoise cut Hyena’s fur into different lengths. Some stood straight up, some lay down flat, and some went the wrong way. Then Tortoise mixed many colors together and splattered them all over Hyena. It was a good thing Hyena could not see himself when Tortoise was finished. His fur was a mix of dirty white, sad gray, and dull brown. He was the dullest-looking animal in Africa, and he is still that way today. His dull, messy coat lets everyone know he is a mean and unpleasant animal.
