Historically, the palm has represented power, triumph or peace. God has given us a spirit of power, love, and self-control, and we can walk in this power that comes from the Holy Spirit. Though it is not part of the theme text, we love the visual of Jesus being honored/loved with palm branches as he rode a donkey into Jerusalem in humble power. Dried palm leaves are beautiful & strong. This element speaks most directly to the Walk In Power tenet.
