What do you do when you want to talk in class?
By raising your hand quietly until you are picked.
What do you do when you get in class?
You make your lunch choice, unpack your supplies, and check the board for directions.
When you come to school late like after 7:50, what do you do?
You need to go to the office to sign in.
What do you do to help others be a better student?
You encourage others by saying positive things. No put downs! (Be kind to others!)
How do you ask for help in class?
You ask you partner and group. If you still can't get the answer raise your hand quietly and wait.
When the teachers yell for Mr. Edkins' class during recess what do you do?
You must stop what you are doing and begin lining up.
Where can 5th grade students play during recess during a normal day?
The playground, fields, and blacktop
How do students respect other students properties?
By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.
When can I use the bathroom?
Not during lessons, or reading time, but throughout the day, we will take a few class bathroom breaks. Ask Mr. Edkins if it is an emergency.
What might happen if you are not showing climb expectations at recess?
You might have to spend the rest of recess and/or lunch with a teacher.
How do you earn climb cards?
By following the CLIMB expectations around the school.
When can you work in groups?
When Mr. Edkins tells you to or you ask for permission to.

When can I sharpen my pencil?
Before school or at the end of the day. You can also trade your pencil for another.
