Rule 1
Follow directions quickly
When can I use the bathroom or get a drink?
During the transitioning period, not during instruction, during recess, or during lunch.
Where do you go for a fire drill?
Quietly walk towards the elevator down the 7th grade door quietly and quickly. Make a Left Down the hallway and walk straight to the front of school. Line up silently and wait for teacher to take attendance.
What kind of food and/ or beverage can students have in class?
Water.
Where do students sit in the classroom?
In their assigned seat or wherever the CHAMPS board says you can sit.

Make good choices
What does a good good classroom discussion look like?
Everyone is participating. Not shouting or interrupting others. Having respect for everyone's ideas
What should you do during a tornado drill?
Students should move away from the window. Exit the classroom and line up along the lockers. Once seated facing the lockers students should have their head in-between their legs until the tornado has passed.
How can you respect other students, Mr. J, and all other teachers and paras?
By listening to them, having patience with each other, taking turns sharing, using nice words, practicing self space, following instructions, completing your work correctly and on time.
What does WORK TIME sound like?
Check the CHAMPS board for all expectations

What can you do when you finish your work early?
•Check the board or schedule for may-dos
What do you if an intruder is in the building and Cottonwood is on lockdown?
Stay quiet , calm, and head towards the back of the classroom. Stay away from the window and sit on the floor at voice level '0'
What do students do with their belongings?
Put your belongings in your night cubby and set backbacks in a place where people will not trip, hang your coat on chair or on hook (not on floor),
If you are absent what do you do when you return to school?
Ask for your late work the day you return to school
